Job Summary
We are looking for a Drainage Engineer to fit into our team. David Rowell Ltd is a family run paving and drainage business dealing with emergency and contract drain clearance. You will have the opportunity to work both as part of a team and alone, so are expected to be self-motivated, conscientious and hard working. A logical approach to your own and co-worker health and safety is something you must take seriously. You would be dealing directly with customers, so smart appearance and verbal communication skills are essential, as is honesty and the ability to write a concise report for each job.
Responsibilities and Duties
The work involves unblocking and maintenance of internal and external, above and below ground drainage at commercial and domestic properties. We also undertake drainage repair work; both excavation works and ‘no-dig’ repair systems as well as carrying out CCTV surveys. You would be involved in all of these works. We generally operate throughout the North West area.
On a normal day you will meet at our premises at 8.00am and will finish around 5.00pm, Monday – Friday, though this time will vary, so the need for flexibility is vital. You will be asked to be available to cover out-of-hours emergency call outs on a rota basis. Overtime and standby rate will be paid.
Qualifications and Skills
Requires min 1 year experience.
Full driving licence.

Salary dependant on age & experience – Full UK Driving licence req.
40hrs per week, you must be flexible and able to work overtime, early starts, evenings and weekend callout rota.
Duties will include drain unblocking, high pressure jetting, CCTV surveying, groundwork’s, drain repairs and patch lining. You will also be learning new skills so you must be adaptable.
You will be working in the public sector for our general and commercial customers so you must have good communication and people skills. HGV class 2 would be beneficial.
